With a daily low temperature around 65°F and an average daily high of 77°F (18°C to 25°C) in Belize during the winter months of November to March and endless excursions to immerse oneself, it's summer all-year-round in Belize.

Activities at Hidden Valley Inn, Belize

Nature Walks and Birding

Hidden Valley’s private reserve has many lookout points, such as Tiger Creek Falls, Bull’s Point, and Beverley’s lookout, where you can take hikes and immerse yourself in nature. You can also visit the "Jewel of the property" Butterfly Falls, where our love birds say "I Do," or visit the King Vulture Falls for a breathtaking view and get a chance to see the rare Orange-breasted Falcon. You can also go hiking, mountain biking, waterfall jumping, birding, and go on night expeditions!

Waterfalls and swimming

For the aquatic travelers, Hidden Valley has countless waterfalls and natural pools on the property. If you do visit, make sure to not to miss the Cascade Alley, Hidden Pools, Secret Pools and Falls, and Devil’s Pools and Falls. I’m positive that whichever route you take, you will not be disappointed!

For those wanting a little more privacy in nature, you can rent a waterfall and enjoy it all with you and your partner. Yes, it’s just like you heard it! Hidden Valley gives you the option to rent one of its privately-owned hidden waterfalls for the day for a romantic experience. You will be accompanied by pristine greenery with hammocks hanging next to your crystal clear pool and a sparkling wine picnic lunch set atop white linen and tropical flowers.

Activities in Cayo, Belize

Cultural Immersions

Although there are endless activities at the reserve, Hidden Valley Inn’s location is ideal if you'd like to access nearby attractions in the adventure capital, the Cayo district. You can choose from rich cultural experiences such as a day well spent with the grandmothers of San Antonio Village as they teach you to step by step how to prepare traditional Mayan dishes. Or, you can visit a family cocoa farm and learn how to make chocolate from scratch or chocolate wine. You can also visit a Maya Shaman to be cleansed the traditional way with the burning of copal and other incenses.

Archaeological sites, caves, and zip lining

For a day's adventure, you can visit the largest ancient Maya ruins of Belize, Caracol, or any other popular sites like Xunantunich and Cahal Pech. Another impressive feature of Belize is its astounding cave systems that can allow you to go spelunking at the infamous Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave, better known as the ATM Cave, or go canoeing at Barton Creek Cave. For a little more adrenaline, you can go soaring over the forest canopy like George of the jungle by zip-lining.

Hence, whether onsite or offsite, Hidden Valley has options to fill each day of your vacation stay at our little slice of paradise!
